Better processing, better local dimming, better build quality, and overall better picture quality. However, if you are not a huge movie person or watch the TV non stop, then a TV at half the price would be just fine.

It was about software and overall technology. I purchased the top of the line 65" Q9FN for my Living Room. I specifically waited to buy this new model because of the Ambient Mode. It took some frustrating programming but I was able to upload some personal photos using the Smart Things app with my iPhone 7. Unfortunately Samsung requires that all my photos fit into a mono, dual or multi format that leaves a large border around my photos. It looks like your typical photograph with a cardboard matt. The picture quality is mediocre and doesnt take advantage of the tv's QLED picture quality. There is no option for a full screen "screensaver". I've found that playing 4K YouTube videos is actually preferable. Seriously Samsung, how hard would it be to include a full screen, slideshow feature like my Windows PC? Even my cable TV provider provides this by default when the screen goes into sleep mode. You already had the Samsung Frame with better software than this. Second, I had a ridiculous amount of difficulty setting my my Sonos Playbar through the One Connect box. Ultimately the people at Sonos were more helpful than the Samsung support team. But I can only control the volumne using my Cable TV remote. The Samsung remote doesn't work. Third, The universal remote is far from universal. I still have two remotes to deal with. One for using YouTube and streaming, and another for controlling my Cable (COX) remote. Heavy Sigh. This is by far the most expensive TV I have purchased. My intention was to buy two TVs. The 65" now and later the 75" once it started to ship. But truthfully I have a very hard time spending $6000 just for picture quality. If I cant get amazing software too, then I'll save some money and buy any other 4K 75" TV
