“Will I be able to use my Direct TV remote instead of the remote that comes with this TV? Also, is it possible to get a generic remote that I can put batteries in instead of solar or USB?”

Hi plays10s2 - You can use a DirecTV remote to control the Q60A TV - depending on the type of remote you are utilizing, it may require additional programming steps. You can find programming instructions on your cable provider's website or contacting them directly. ^Gina

Yeah, I think the answer to both are yes. For DirectTV, I'd check with DirectTV to see if they have a way to control a TV using the DirectTV remote. My TiVo does, so I assume DirectTV does too. As for using a replacement remote, that's possible. Samsung is always compatible with most universal remotes.
