I just got mine yesterday and came here for this same reason.. I have other Samsung's (cheaper ones too) and they don't look like this.. it's very noticeable but doesn't affect the picture on the screen at all. Haven't decided if I want to try and exchange it yet.. don't want to bother with it if the next one will look the same.
