Remote control is charged by room light. If remote won't work, put where it can get some sunlight. Notice where the solar strip is and do not lay the remote upside down. Manual is on tv listed under settings>e manual or on samsung.com website. I am going to add a sound bar but have limited space/ All I received was the remote. Geek Squad installed mine so not sure if they had to add any cables.

In addition to the manual included, the e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual. ^Gina
