the picture on mine is excellent, as to why theirs isn't I can't say, it could be internet speed, cables, or both I suppose. I did buy all new HDMI cables rated for 4K when I bought my new TV.

Make sure your TV has a strong WiFi connection, if possible hard wire to the modem/router for the best experience. Try playing a blue ray dvd to see if the internet is the issue. Otherwise Verizon offers me 1 gig of internet speed for a reasonable price. The image on this tv is amazing and the sound is great. I purchased a carbon HDMI cable for about $200 and it makes Even better. I hope this helps. The tv is totally worth the price. Good luck
