The ambassador Celina from Samsung didn’t answer my question at all. I’m an audiophile and I know what I’m talking about. And I’ve dealt with audio equipment for 15 years. Celina from Samsung is avoiding the question because Samsung knows they screwed up by not having more HDMI 2.1 inputs. To properly future proof a TV is to have multiple HDMI 2.1 inputs. Samsung just wants the consumer to keep buying new TV’s every year. Samsung should have made this particular TV’s arc/earc input HDMI 2.1 That way you only have to run one HDMI cable to your HDMI 2.1 capable AVR receiver. Most people use an AVR receiver as their main hub. So people can connect all their audio/video components through a receiver. Not run multiple HDMI cables from a TV. My suggestion for people is to wait until 2021 to buy a future proof television. Most likely Samsung will have multiple HDMI 2.1 (ar/earc) inputs on their 2021 TV’s.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! You would need to hook the console up directly to the TV to take advantage of all the gaming features, you are also going to look for with the new consoles, not just fast frame rate. Then you can get audio out of the TV by eARC being on the different port. ^Celina
