You can certainly use an external smart TV device like a fire stick. I recently purchased this TV and I am using an Apple TV to access all of my apps, like Netflix and such. I’m not an expert, but my understanding is that these external smart TV devices, including Apple TV, fire TV, and Roku, are generally more streamlined and faster than the built-in smart TV functionality. When I set up this TV, it included steps for adding devices, and as part of that process, it set up the Apple TV, and the Samsung TV remote was “magically” able to control the Apple TV with no extra effort on my part. I would assume, but cannot verify, that it would do the same with your fire stick. The TV also has some kind of integration with different voice assistants, including Alexa; that may come in handy if you’re using Amazon products like the fire stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a fire cube connected to mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. The Samsung remote can even be programmed to control the fire stick if you don't want to keep up with multiple remotes. Whether you would want to or not is kind of up to personal preference. I bought this tv with the intention of using its smart features, but my wife wanted to keep using the fire stick because she was so used to it.
