“The stand juts out in front of the TV several inches and is sloped, so we're supposed to set our soundbar on top of a sloped stand? That's going to raise the soundbar by the thickness of the stand, potentially blocking the bottom of the screen, isn't it?”

Hi paulg - The 65” S90D provides you with a clearance of 2.6", and a soundbar can be placed directly on the stand. Most Samsung Soundbars will easily fit in this clearance.
