There is not a specific side clearance requirement for side venting, unless your DV210 will be installed in an alcove or closet, in which case the side clearance should be at least 1". I would recommend leaving at least that much space in the interest of preventing noises caused by vibration if the dryer is in contact with surrounding surfaces or objects. Please refer to the User Manual and the DV-1A side vent kit instructions for other details and specifications. Samsung recommends having a qualified technician install the side vent kit.
