• Sanitize is one feature option. The de-wrinkle option works great. I highly recommend the steam option, but it is an option that you can live without.

• It's for sanitizing, like a refresher clothes aren't actually soiled.

• Hi Magda! The steam feature sprays water into the drum to deodorize clothes and reduce static electricity and wrinkles. Not all cycles on this model use the steam feature. ^Jecca
