The heat is adjustable but not on every setting.

Regarding your concern, the temperature can only be adjusted in the TIME DRY cycle. Press to change the temperature of the current cycle. You can select from 5 different options (Low to High). Please select the appropriate temperature depending on the items in the load. • High: For sturdy cottons or those labeled Tumble Dry. • Medium: For permanent press, synthetics, lightweight cottons, or items labeled Tumble Dry Medium. • Low: For heat sensitive items labeled Tumble Dry Low or Tumble Dry Warm. Provides the lowest heated drying temperature possible. I suggest you check this link to your user manual for assistance.
