“Is this dryer star rated for energy efficiency. I can't find any information about the energy ratings on this dryer. The matching washer is energy efficient, but what about the matching dryer. I bought the electric model.”

Thanks for your interest in the DV42H5000EW. While the Sensor Dry cycles can help to save energy and time compared to non-sensor settings, Energy Star introduced their standards for clothes dryers only recently, and this particular model is not Energy Star rated. - Ms. Samsung

If you look at the Energy estimates tag and the cost of electricity in your area, you can estimate the yearly expense. My 15 year old dryer costs about $60 per year to operate. I think the key is to purchase a washer with high RPM spin cycle.
