QuestionIs 'Air Fluff' really a NO HEAT setting?I want to make sure there is a NO HEAT setting to dry things that I absolutely do not want shrinking. Or, can anyone verify that the 'Very Low Heat' setting is actually VERY LOW. Thanks a million, lovers. I appreciate it.

QuestionWhere is the lint filter located for cleaning between loads. Is it on top or front?

- Answer It's in the front and it's almost "cage like". It's not like the old types that pulled up and lint flew everywhere. It pops out, you open it, remove the lint, close it, and put it make in. There's no mess to it, it's great.

QuestionI bought this dryer about 3 months ago, but did not like it because it took too long to dry clothing. I decided to exchange a new one. The new one also took 2+ hrs to dry a 2/3 load of clothing using normal cycle. is this normal? any suggestions

- Answer Ours is actually fast at drying. If your washer doesn't spin your clothes well, that could be the cause of such a long drying time. Have had no trouble with that.

- Answer Yes, the DV42H5000EW Electric Dryer can be changed to vent out the left or right side, or the bottom, instead of the rear which is the factory default, with the help of the DV-1A vent conversion kit accessory. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

- Answer The dryer door can open Left or Right. It is very simple to change it with a screwdriver. The directions are in the manual. We changed ours from Right hand door to Left Hand door.

- Answer Thanks for your interest in the DV42H5000EW. While the Sensor Dry cycles can help to save energy and time compared to non-sensor settings, Energy Star introduced their standards for clothes dryers only recently, and this particular model is not Energy Star rated. - Ms. Samsung

- Answer Power cord is NOT included. They are specific to your outlet in you home. Take a photo of your outlet to the store when you purchase the cord.

- Answer The DV42H5000EW Dryer doesn't require a Pedestal, so it's really a matter of personal preference. Customers who do choose to mount the Washer or Dryer on a Pedestal usually do so for two reasons: the convenience of not having to bend or stoop down so much to reach inside; or because they like having a place to store dryer sheets, detergent or fabric softener, along with hangers or other items for an uncluttered space. The matching Pedestal for the DV42H5000EW Dryer is shown on Best Buy's website as model #WE357AW. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

- Answer Thanks for the question. There are several Dryers in the current line-up that are compatible with your WF405ATPAWR/AA, though the aesthetic design has changed somewhat. One design element that is most obvious is the chrome-trimmed door, which is not included on the DV42H5000EW. If you'd like the doors to match you may want to consider the DV42H5200EW or the DV42H5400EW which also have chrome trim around the control panel. - Ms. Samsung

- Answer I used a pedestal from my old Samsung on the new Samsung ( chosen so I didn’t have to buy a new one). The holes on the base were different. I just set it on top without fastening. It seems fine. The dryer doesn’t vibrate so it works. I probably wouldn’t try it with a washer. They do vibrate.

- Answer The volume given is the capacity of the drum, so yes, it's 7.5 cubic feet--though the baffles that help tumble the clothes probably knock it down to about 7 cu. ft. If you're asking about the overall appliance size, you can find those dimensions in the specs given on the site.

- Answer I just spoke to Samsung and this was their response: Samsung Electric Dryers do not come with power cords because the power outlet for the electric dryer can vary from house to house. They may have either a 3 pronged or 4 pronged power outlet.
