The dryer will still be operational, but you will not be able to use the steam features. ^Lo

It should be okay as long as you don’t use the two steam cycles.

The unit works fine without the steam. A separate cold water hose can be attached.

I recently purchased the dryer and decided to hook up the hose for steam. The steam function is well worth it. I assume that you can use the dryer without the hose attached because it only uses the function during steam cycles.
