Yes it does require a separate hose. The housing has to be purchased separately. In our case it was require because our BB installed it free of charge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Rich. Yes you are correct. I don’t think I realized it at the time of purchase. The guys that installed it Informed me of it. Conveniently, they had the “steam kit” for the dryer with them so I agreed for the extra charge ($25 I think it was). If I remember correctly the steam kit had some sort of Y connector to add to the washer water supply, to run the small water line to the dryer. I have since used the steam function to sanitize towels or straighten out wrinkled shirts so it was worth it in the end.
