No. You have to set up the smart cycle/ smart feature. But it can run without it being enabled.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not in my experience. I haven’t connected the WiFi feature yet and the dryer operates very well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m a new user myself, but I’ll tell you what I have experienced: I believe that most appliances now are “smart” appliances. However, I found that you can also use the “manual” setting to change your cycle to your liking. You don’t have to use wi-fi to do that. Better control of time, heat settings, etc. Someone who has used these appliances more may have more information for you. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Lavender315. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 7.5 cu. ft. Smart Electric Dryer with Steam Sanitize+ of the Smart Feature is always enabled and searching for network. Regarding your concern, this Smart Feature works if your WIFI connection on your phone is enabled and have this dryer connect to your WIFI however if you did not connect the dryer it would not automatically connect to your WIFI. I suggest you check this link to your user manual for assistance.
