• For this particular unit, it can be switched to your preference. The door may be set up to open left or fight.

• Looking at the description on the website, it looks like it could be moved to the opposite side, but literature said Best Buy did not offer that option. I know on my prior Samsung, it was moved so it worked for me. Luckily, the washer opens right to left, and the dryer left to right and it is just what I needed. Good luck.
