Hi Liam, HDMI 2.1 is a complicated matter. The TU6980 has eArc functionality in HDMI port 2, which is part of the HDMI 2.1 feature set. Those looking for ALLM, 4K @ 120fps, and other video game oriented HDMI 2.1 standards would be better suited with the Q70T shown here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-75-class-q70t-series-qled-4k-uhd-smart-tizen-tv/6402404.p?skuId=6402404 Thanks, ^Scott
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From my own research, I have read that both HDMI ports are of the 2.0 variety. Since HDMI 2.1 is basically reserved for future 8K applications, the lack of their inclusion on an “entry level” 4K TV should not be taken as a negative. This Samsung set gives a lot of bang for the buck and should be considered a tremendous value for the foreseeable future. Remember that there are precious few true 4K signal sources now, so 8K is a long way down the road. I hope this information helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just purchase a 4K HDMI and your good to go. No need for HDMI 2.1. You just need the 4k. You will see the huge difference .
