“The description says that you can't screen mirror to this tv. On the other hand a rep has said that you can cast your android phones screen onto the tv using an app. Can you 100% cast your android phones screen onto the TV using the app?”

My Hubby has a Samsung Galaxy S8 and he screen mirrored to this TV. That is the first thing he was super excited about. For Apple phones there is a IOS App. I have an Apple but I haven't tried it on the TV yet. I have a Plus screen on my phone. It's not necessary for me personally to use the feature. Hope this somewhat helps

Yes you can, from either a Samsung or iPhone. Not sure about android
