“I am being told by my satelite provider that the Samsung 6300 4K tv i purchased is not a true 4K tv even though the salesperson told me it is 4K and the box it came in says 4K....i do not understand????”

It's 4K, perhaps they were referring to the video source (Cable, DVD, Blueray) as not being 4K
