The TV will pair with Bluetooth wireless headphones. For plug in headphones you will need a digital to analog converter to plug into the optical audio output.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First: hit the home button, go to Source, then up to Connection Guide, then Audio Device, then Bluetooth. This gives you the sequence of steps to get to the connection menu: To connect, hit the home button, scroll left and click on Settings, then Sound, then Sound Output, Then Speaker list. Have your bluetooth headset turned on, and it will search and find it. Once it finds it, click on it and it will prompt you to pair it, so hit the pair button on the head set. Once it is paired, it will ask you to connect. When you do, the speakers will shut off and sound will come through the headset. If you are hearing impaired and want the speakers on for others while you use the headset, there is another step (leave your headset on and connected): Hit the home button, go to Settings, then General, then Accessibility, then scroll down and click on Multi-output Audio. (Note: this option won't be available unless your bluetooth headset is connected.) I am not using bluetooth speakers, so I do not know if the multi-output will work with them. After doing the above, when you turn your headset on, a window will open on the screen to ask if you want to connect. If you have hit the multi-output button, the speakers will remain on.. If you haven't the speakers will shut off.
