Winston, great question! When stepping up from the Q70T to the Q80T, you will gain features such as Object Tracking Sound that will give you 4 speakers of surround sound for a more immersive experience, Ultra Viewing Angles and Anti Reflective Technology which will provide you with more accurate color representation allowing more versatility in TV placement and seating without distracting glare, Quantum HDR 8X, along with Direct Full Array backlight technology. ^Celina

From the spec sheet it appears they both have 20 watt speakers. To get the most from our Q70 we added a sonos Arc soundbar to really push the sound.
