“This might be a dumb question but do I need internet to get a 8K tv? I no it does a lot of updates but Where I live high speed internet is not an option”

You should be able to download updates from their website onto a thumb drive and update the TV with that. I do it with my old Samsung because the wifi in my house isn't strong enough to reach it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need a high speed Internet connection in order to optimize your viewing on the 8KQ QLED 900 television. The only content currently broadcast in 4K is from streaming subscriptions like Netflix or Amazon prime. Regular cable will only provide a 1080 HD picture and the 900 can upscale with the best of today’s technology but I think you might not get the full value out of your purchase if you can’t get a fast internet connection.
