“The mounting screw size provided in the set up guide is not correct for the TU690T 75". Have tried multiple screw sizes and none fit the holes on the TV. The correct screw size is NOT M8 20-22mm 1.25 mm pitch. Is my TV defective?”

The information that Samsung is providing is inaccurate! I bought M8x20mmx1.25mm like the manual said and these are way too short. The correct length is 25mm. The machine screw you need is M8x25mmx1.25 thread pitch also I would recommend a lock washer.

Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length. If you cannot find the fitting screws, you could use washers (supplied with the wall mount) to adjust the length.
