Dar, If you like the settings, no calibration is needed. We have four pre-set calibrations, including "Dynamic" (which is usually too bright unless you have a lot of light in the room), as well as "Standard" or "Movie" which is best for most household settings. Best Buy does offer a calibration service and that may also be a service you might see is right for you. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you don't have to. I fine tuned it a little as most TV's come with the brightest setting by default but other than that it looks great. there's dvd's that help you calibrate if you are that much into it.
