Hi! Samsung TVs feature a user friendly smart system built in called Tizen providing access to your favorite streaming content, a built in web browser, free TV with Samsung TV Plus, and the ability to screen mirror both Android and Apple devices. ^Tim
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tizen is a built-in menu system that the TV has. Other TV's use the Android (like what powers and Android phone). Both Tizen and Android are usually on TVs that do not use a regular TV tuner (a TV without a tuner is less costly). Any TV that does not have a built in tuner will requires an external tuner: A tuner is what allows you to select broadcast channels over the air with an antenna. If you expect to watch local TV channels using an antenna you will not be able to with this TV unless you purchase a external tuner (which is referred to in the AD as a "digital" tuner). You will need to have at least an internet connection to access streaming services with this TV. But out of the box you will not be able to view local channels unless you purchase a separate tuner device. If you have no interest in watching local TV channels on this TV and all you want to view are streaming channels and streaming services like Youtube TV, Netflix, etc which require and Internet connection then this TV will do that without the need to a "digital" tuner.
