“Can I connect my Denon receiver (surround sound) 5.1 channel to my TV and if YES, it is with an HDMI cable into the eARC? I haven’t been able to get the sound to come out.”

Please always check on exactly what mode you are in. Always cables has to be in OUT from your TV and IN in your amplifier. An be sure that you placed the right mode: example bluray/ Cable.. etc
