Will this work on a Inspiron 15 7000 Series null

Should work. As long as you have a m.2 slot. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 and when I opened up the backside it has an available slot for m.2 ssd stick. Just purchased a 128gb m.2 ssd from new egg and works just fine. All I did was install the windows OS and programs on the ssd and everything else on my hybrid drive.

No it will not you have to have a empty M.2 slot for this to work
