SSDs can work with any computer that has a place for a SATA drive like your laptop does. The drive doesn't come with any software preinstalled, and you can just install the drive into your laptop, and then install windows 10 using the things Microsoft gives you here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You need a USB flash drive at least 8GB in size. Any data on it will be wiped and replaced with a copy of Windows 10. You need to access a working PC and download the Microsoft Windows 10 Media Creation Tool by going to this link https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209 And click on "Download tool now" Run the app and select your USB drive. This process will take a little while to complete. Now install the SSD in your laptop. Insert the USB drive and turn on the laptop. After a few moments it should show the Windows setup screen. If the screen does not appear after some time, then you may need to adjust your BIOS settings. Search "boot PC from USB" for details. Proceed through the prompts and you're done. You can now repurpose the USB drive for something else. FYI software and operating systems generally do not come preloaded on storage components. Good luck. Hope this helps.
