Yes. Recently just upgraded my desktop with one of these. You do need to refer to your motherboards manual to confirm compatibility.

My Asus desktop motherboard has a compatible slot for it. Check with your motherboard manufacturer for compatibility and specs.

Your motherboard has to have an m.2 slot. Otherwise you would need to incorporate silly adapters at which point you would be better off buying a regular SSD.

If the desktop supports PCI Express (PCIe) and you can find a bracket that will hold it from within a 2.5" or 3.5" drive bay, you should be good to go.
