• I know they make an adapter to address the pin difference. I've heard different answers on this. Some people say it'll work and some say it won't.

• Nope. MacBook is not NVMe compatible it uses AHCI instead. You need to get one of Apples SSDs.

• Google Other World Computing. Apple manages to make everything "proprietary" (even though there is already a standard present) which costs you more money. They do offer compatible upgrades although this 970 Evo is not one of them because Apple moved a few pins around.
