Yes, this M.2 drive works very well in a Dell G7 laptop...I have personally tested this M.2 in the G7 and there were no issues.

Among them a blue screen in less than two weeks. I switched it for an ASUS Gaming 15.6" 16GB RAM Core i7 8th Generation 8750, 1 TB HDD and Nvidia GEForce GTX 6GB a little more expensive buut it was worth. And it could also take the 970 EVO 500GB SSD and works fantastically.
