• Yes, but if your computer doesn't support 4x4 the drive will only be able to read up to 3x4 speeds.

• Yes, and with a noticeable performance improvement if the 8910 supports Gen 4 NVME. The voltage draw is also lower with the 990 Pro. Keep in mind Samsung Gen 4 NVME SSDs are backwards compatible to Gen 3, just not able to use the enhanced speeds.
