I really don't know whether any usb wire will work or not. I would think, though, that the charger will work best if you use the usb wire that came with it. I would also suggest that if you don't use the usb wire that comes with the charger, you should try to use a usb wire from Samsung. I would recommend that you not use any "generic" usb wire, such as the one Verizon sells you. I have had the best results using usb wires from the same company as the one that made the device. "Generic" usb wires (and especially inexpensive [cheap] usb wires) have caused me trouble. Hope this helps. Also - I do not work for Samsung.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably can but you need to make sure the charger and cable puts out enough juice. I found my Samsung phones require more than the generic cables can pass through

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just like all other chargers, any USB wire will work, as long as it's compatible with your phone. (Android) I have many USB cords as well. The one that came with the charger I keep in my bedroom to charge my S6 at night. I also leave a USB plugged in the living room and one in the den in case I'm in there and need my phone charged. They have worked just fine. I've had my charger for over a month.
