“I got rid of cable and internet and if I want to watch Netflix I hook my phone to my TV, so I can have a big picture! Can I use this device to charge my phone while my phone is hooked up to my TV watching Netflix? If not, does anyone have suggestions”

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I use my phone all the time when it's on the charger.
