usually when a flash drive doesnt work on a phone is because the thumb drive has a capacity larger than the phone can handle. You need to check your user manual to see what the max size of the thumb drive can be used. I can tell you now that the samsung S8 has a max of 64G so the S7 may be thesame or less.
