Yes. It is completely reverse compatible with 2.0 and 3.0 ports on your computer. However, you cannot achieve the highest read/write speeds as advertised. If you have large files like movies (1 GB and larger) you will be noticeably slower on a 2.0 port. Look for the "SS USB" port if available.
