There's a LED light on then power button that will blink red when they are on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If they are on, I believe the power button on top lights up green. Plus it will sync with the TV and a notification will pop up. But most helpful, is that when you are looking through the glasses, if they are off you will know because looking at the TV screen while wearing them will not change the picture.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good question. I guess it is to save battery power but you can only tell when the glasses are on or off by observing the color of the LED when you press the power switch.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No way to tell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on the model, the television will often detect a pair of glasses nearby. If you're concerned about them being on, you can also turn them off prior to powering down the television or Blu-Ray player/Home Theater system. Removing the battery when they're not in use is also an option. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung
