The units are relatively quiet but make unusual sounds on occasion.

This link (https://bit.ly/2UHP00h) details out both the normal sounds you will hear, as well as possible abnormal noises that would need attention. As for using custom panels on this model, currently we are only able to confirm compatibility with the BESPOKE line of panels found here: https://www.samsung.com/us/bespoke/. Hope this helps! ^Jecca
