“Where is the ice maker located exactly ? Above the trays or within the door ? How does it sense when the tray is full and what are the plastic slide outs over the trays . Simply a cover ?”

• On the bottom freezer door. It is designed that way to sense if the tray is full or not. When full it stops making ice. And yes, the plastic trays are just cover to cover the ice. Plain and simple.

• Hopefully you have this figured out by now. I walked into BestBuy before purchasing the fridge. Its located inside the fridge (middle section drawer -- on the left hand side).

• The ice tray is above the freezer door once u open it. It’s hidden in the freezer
