Hi GeeGee2000, We appreciate your question about the internal water filter and your reverse osmosis compatibility. Your home has a reverse osmosis filtration system, it is not necessary to use the refrigerator's internal water filter. Using both the reverse osmosis system and the internal water filter can cause the water pressure to drop, which may lead to slow water flow from the dispenser. If you do not want to use the internal water filter, you'll just need to remove the filter. No additional steps will be needed, as the filter housing has an automatic seal to prevent leaks. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just don’t change the filter. It won’t clog up over time, just stop treating the water.
