Q: Questioncan the refrigerator be used if I do not want to use the ice and water dispenser? I have no water source near to it.

• A:Answer I think it could. If i remember correctly, there are settings in the fridge in the electronic function that allows those to be turned off.

• A:Answer Yes you can use the ice maker and pitcher without the filter. Samsung charges 50 dollars for a filter that shouldn't be more than 20-25 dollars. I believe they knew a lot of people would stop using the filters, so there is a bypass valve in the fridge that activates when there is no filter installed.
