The oven works just like a regular oven, the induction is for the surface and yes special cookware is needed. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of your pan or pot, then it will work if it does not then it will not.

I understand the importance of knowing how to use bakeware effectively with your appliance to ensure the best results. For baking in an induction oven, standard bakeware typically works well, as the oven itself does not require special materials—unlike the cooktop, which heats through induction-compatible pots and pans. The oven’s baking function uses conventional heat, allowing you to use metal, glass, ceramic, or stoneware bakeware. For optimal baking performance and heat distribution, it's generally recommended to use bakeware suited to the specific baking mode (conventional or convection, for example). Please refer to pages 34 to 38 of your user manual for more information on baking functions and tips on selecting bakeware for various settings.
