Hi J Lenard, We are glad to answer your question about the type of detergent to use with this Samsung washer-dryer combo model. There is no particular brand that Samsung recommends for use with the washer-dryer model; however, a specific type is highly recommended. Samsung washing machines require HE (High Efficiency) detergents that do not contain natural ingredients like vinegar or baking soda. In addition, this washer-dryer model has a cycle called Tide POD Cold, its a wash cycle specifically for use with Tide Pods and uses cold water to wash the laundry.
