It can vent into the house for all the exhaust the way it's set up to the way it comes in the Box. If you want to vent into the house you have to take the cover off the fan by removing one screw on the top back lifting the fan out and turning it 90° so the fan blows back into the top of the unit instead of out the top of the unit, then you have to take the black grill at the top of the face of the unit when the door is open out by removing the two screws on top and sliding it slightly to the left so it unhooks from the body of the microwave and you have to slide the charcoal filter that came with the unit into the slot that's behind that Grill and then put the grill back on slide it to the right to hook it and put the two screws back in the top. I believe there's YouTube videos that show how to do this as well. But you only add the charcoal filter if you're going to vent back into the house which is never recommended by the way
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vent has nothing to do with performance of microwave. It’s a homeowners choice to vent your ovens cooktop to inside or outside. So the answer is “yes”
