It is magnetized, my wife loves it. It has two raised lines to set angles for lap viewing and it will not collapse, and the magnet won't hurt your tablet, I give it 10 thumbs up and it is a great value.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This cover is held in place by magnets My Tab did not work well with this cover on it, as soon as I removed the cover the tab was working fine. I found a cover that would protect the unit if I dropped it. The one I got still had the magnet in the screen cover flap that will shut the unit down when closed. Hopes this helps.
