• Yes it will work. There is a VGA input on the back of the monitor, along with HDMI, Display Port, and 3.5mm Audio ports.

• Yes it does I use HDMI from to the PC and VGA for my second screen from my lap top.

• As a freeSync display, only digital (HDMI or D-P) links are possible. Even the cheapest on-sale Radeon card will out-do what's in your hp tower.
