No. It's a VA or vertical alignment LCD. The best contrast ratio of any LCD technology. Some of the best LCD TVs use a VA LCD screen for improved Black Levels. It has a Wide color gamut and still good viewing angles. Response time is supposed to lag slightly behind IPS and TN but I don't notice it when gaming. i do notice the significantly improved contrast ratio over the milky glow of IPS though.
