I have been scouring the internet for more info about the stylus and writing and what I do know is that it has palm rejection. (Not having it would have been a deal breaker!)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Palm rejection works well, but the app that natively opens when removing the pen is a bit weak. Not many options. I tried to load SNote but the apps store said it wasn't available for my device. I used One Note and things worked better. There is a small bit of lag, but I solved this by writing a bit slower and more cleanly. I have not tested the myriad of other "note" type applications yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has the same fantastic palm rejection, and smooth pressure sensitivity as the note line of phones and spen tablets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not have this Chromebook (though I may soon), but I'm sure it behaves like the notes and note tablets which I do have. The function of the pen relies greatly on the specific app you are using. For example, Lecture Notes has an option to only accept pen input so stray fingers and palms do nothing (two fingers for zooming and scrolling). Squid (which I love) takes that a step further and lets you write with the pen and erase with a finger. Also, WPS office is amazing with its pen implementation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The pen tech is licensed from wacom. Much better than the n-trig tech from microsoft. The palm rejection is not as good but I wear a simple drawing glove and it fixes the problem. Great for hobbyists but professionals should stick with wacom.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not the most apt artist, but I write and draw plenty and have never had any "spaz out" issues. Palm rejection works wonders (both when you want it to and when you don't). I'd definitely recommend it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The stylus isn't perfect, but it works really well and with precision. The stylus will drag your screen around if you just swirl it on your screen. In laser mode, it will just draw a vanishing line across the screen. In magnifier mode, it will drag a magnifying glass across your screen but leave things alone. I haven't figured out a way to access the stylus menu when the tabs are open, and I don't draw, so I can't help you there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Then pen is great for drawing or writing, you can write on the entire screen, I can have my hand on the screen same time Im drawing still have the function of the S pen. Plus downloading drawing apps like art canvas are great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The pen works amazingly well. Love it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When in compatible apps, the pen will offer complete palm rejection and is very precise and sensitive. The pen also includes built in software functionality, much the same as on the Samsung Note series. The pen feels very fluid and natural when writing on the screen as well and is a big differentiator between other Chromebook models.
