• Absolutely. The new chrome os will allow you to download apps from the Google play store which includes word and power point. It is a real solid computer.

• Absolutely with an Office 365 subscription. My college provides this as do many employers. Otherwise Google Docs and Google sheets are adequate replacements for more basic operations.
